i don't think he is overrated. i mean right now he is not as good as he was, but he shouldn't be, he is 33. But when he was in his prime, there was no one better at set plays and passing precision. Yea, he wasn't as flashy as others and may not have scored too much, but his impact was monumental. He excelled on 2 of the best clubs and captained england! I don't think he is too overrated...unless people think he is as good as he used to be.

He is very overated. But the ppl will believe the mass media etc never have a brain cell that questions anything. But if I could have a squad and had one player to take free quicks or crosses it would be Beckham. Tackling, scoring? hell any other player please! Would I rely on one player? hell no. Ryan Giggs why did you have to turn your back and play for Wales! why?? lol.

Im colombian, and I will remember forever when in world cup 98, David Beckham hugged Carlos Valderrama, it was the retirement of the best player of my country and the born of the best midfielder in England I think... Beckham has the talent that most of britons don't have, and I can assure he's the best England player at least 20 years ago to these days

one thing I will give him is that he is a good team player, he isnt a ball hog like some superstars, he knows when to take his shot and when to pass to the man with the better shot, much respect for that

seriously? shrek over beckham? no offense shrek is a great aggressive player but my top three active footballers is more like: #1 C. Ronaldo, #2 Ronaldinho #3 Lampard(im a Chelsea fan, cant help it) and at #3.5 Beckham I might take Shrek at like number 15 or so
