I'm french, I was there at the Parc des Princes and I'll never forget the shock we felt at the end, it was really like we had all died. But if it wasn't for this game (and the game against Israel) we would have NEVER won the World cup in 98, the Eurocup in 2000 and reached the WC final in 2006. This game changed french football forever because from this defeat we built the basis for the great french team that won everything in the following years. Thank God for this game.

I'm FRENCH and you can belive me, this terrible match was finally, for us , a bad for a good. Because afet that, there was a real rebuilding , a new coach, a new generation, and since Euro 96 in England, we'we been qualified in ALL championship, Euro or World Cup, and with a lot of success... half-finalist in Euro 96, World Cup 98 & Euro 2000 winner, World Cup 2006 finalist :)
