emile heskey still plays for england. Yea wikipedia that name to see who he is, because he gets a call up means nothing. Also im scottish english football doesnt matter to me. football is something that you are born into its a religion and way of life. looking at your other sports you can see you dont and never will have the passion its pathetic. i think you should have to discuss your football in private and not subject the rest of us to this. The MLS will never take off the best you can do is play Guadalajara and Sau Paulo and you cant even compete with that lot. What promising young talent wants to go out there and miss out on champs league!American Football offends me(i refuse to call it soccer) The league has players that get a regular game for some bottom half scottish teams yet they play against beckham the league is a mickey mouse league no wonder maurice edu has come to the bears!stick to baseball or something stupid like that

But you need to understand the salary cap structure and the fact that all players are not owned by the club but rather the whole league. I think the league has done a fantastic job of getting people interested while still keeping wages down. I havent seen any numbers but I'd be easily convinced that the MLS actually is making a yearly profit.

i totally agree...there is no way mls can bring in the talent they need to bring the league to a higher level with the kind of salary caps they have...it just isn't possible.

You can only get so much talent with a salary cap of 2.1 million. This is chump change and would probably be under the average wage of a Chelsea player. They need to raise the cap and get more people to watch the games. A lot of changes has to be made as well as the developmental system here for it to get better. It is in fact getting better but ever so slowy. It just requires patience on our part and our own contribution as being fans of the league.

yes, but the mistakes they make are just REALLY dumb and are usually made by middle schoolers. i also agree that the league is young, but they are starting to get better players

you have no idea how they can be professionals???? i really get annoyed how people downsize the MLS all the time. We're a young league...12 years old...so i don't think you should expect to have the talent like the english, spain, and italian leagues that have been goin for a lot longer...give it a rest.
