stats are totally misleading take dimitar berbatov for example not saying hes the greatest player to ever live its just an example but hes an excellent player bt he could NEVER achieve what pele did in his career not because he isnt capable of it strictly because hes bulgarian and the chance of them even winnin a world cup let alone 3 or 4 in his playin career are slim so personally i dont agree and its nothin to do with rep or anythin like that zidane is my personal best player that ever lived

Of course other players played (and won) too he couldn´t play alone in those championships, no other reached his numbers and the astonishing capacity - if you´re too young and haven´t seen Pelé play, youtube may help you. 1st Pelé, 2nd Ronaldinho Gaúcho, 3rd Romário (1000 goals), Garrincha and to mention players with less quality, Zidanne, Distefano e Maradona (because of fame, because there are many other players better than him unknown, too simple and dull in the games). but i do agree that it wasnt maradona he just scored a few great goals which to be honest are shadowed by the hand of god. personally i think its zidane the man had it all he was technically gifted and it was a pleasure to watch him play

hang on a second you say he was world champion for a club team 2 times which means he won the club world championship which to be fair is a shit cup. secondly jus because he won the world cup that many times means nothing at least 5 other players in the international team won it the same amount of times but u arent sayin they are the best player that ever lived. honestly i think its down to personal opinion n ur entitled to yours but your reasons behind it were pretty weak to be fair

Pelé played was champion in Brazil (the best soccer in the world, 5 times world champion so far). And playing in Brazilian teams he defeated all the major European teams at his time, and besides being 3 times worold champion he was twice world champion playing in his team Santos. Watch the videos, read the numbers, you´tr probably a kid who didn´t see Pelé outstandingly playing. Pelé is the "king of Soccer", The Athlete of the Century, and the Best Ever elected by Fifa experts.

Pelé is number 1, 10. the best ever. The numbers tell you this: he won 3 world cups, scored more than 1000 goals. After Pelé, there were other players better than Maradona, for example Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Romário (who scored 1000 goals too), Zidanne, etc...Maradona (no more than 300 goals) is hardly the best in Argentina, some say Distefano was better than him. just young people who didnt see Pelé oustandingly playing could make such a stupid comparison.
